Gene Callahan began as an active Realtor in 1979. If you are not working with an agent, Gene is always available to answer your real estate questions. He will not pressure you to work with him. One advantage to working with Gene is that he has a very capable team member, Kathy Wrzesinski, who has 13 years experience. He has a BA in English from Umass, Amherst, and a Masters Degree in Education from A I C. From 1980 to 1995, he owned Gene Callahan Real Estate, covering towns in the Northampton area, which also had a commercial division. Gene continues to do both residential and commercial real estate, and holds the real estate designation: CRS, Certified Residential Specialist.
Gene believes that the best communicators are good listeners. He listens to Buyers and Sellers needs, and formulates a plan of action which best serves them. Gene likes to let his clients know what's going on, and tries to report the result of a showing within 24 hours. Gene's goal is to do such a good job for his clients that they will refer him to others---approximately 80 % of his business comes from past clients or their referrals.
Although based In Northampton, MA, Gene covers a wide range of towns in Hampshire, Hampden, and Franklin Counties. He has owned single families, multi-families, condos, and commercial property.
